Fenton First Presbyterian Church Window Project

Julie Hussar has compiled a history of the stained glass windows in our church, and has had it printed. The publication contains high quality pictures and history of all the windows in our church, You may purchase copies of the booklet in the church office, or directly from Julie. The price is $10.00, and the proceeds will be used to offset the cost of creating display cases for some of the windows that have been in storage. Make checks payable to Julie Hussar.

Youth News
Wednesday lunches continue for Jr. & Sr. High Youth at 12noon; meet at the church steps.
Thurs. 7/14 3pm - 6pm Sr. High Youth will be meeting at Clover Beach.
Fri. 7/15 5:00pm Jr. High Youth sleepover at the Ritchie’s (until Saturday 9:30am), bring sleeping bag and tent if you have one.

Whaley Children’s Birthday Parties
With your help, our congregation will be sponsoring a birthday party (on their birthdate) of all children in the McDonald Cottage at Whaley Children’s Center. See sign-up sheet in fellowship hall for details.

Vacation Bible School 2011 - will be held August 8th - 12th at Bush Park! This year it will be held at a park to experience Knowing God Through His Creation. Get ready to play and explore the great outdoors!

VBS Recruitment - Volunteers needed for VBS! This year’s theme is Knowing God through God’s Creation, and will be held at Bush Park August 8-12, from 9-11a.m. We need 6 group teachers, 12 shepherds, and have a few other spots to fill. See Tina Ritchie or find the sign-up sheet in fellowship hall!

Ice Cream Social and Sloppy Jo’s
Congregational Life Committee invites you to join them on Sunday, July 10th after the 10am worship for ice cream sundaes and sloppy jo’s in fellowship hall.

Upcoming Habitat Opportunity -
During the week of July 11-15, Habitat will be re-painting the exterior of several homes in Flint. If you can assist us, please sign-up on the sheet in fellowship hall and indicate which days you can help. We will meet at the church and car pool to the house we will work on. If you have any questions, please call Bill Black at (810) 750-4189.

On Saturday, July 16, from 6:45 am to 10:00 am, Habitat will again be conducting the Bastille Day race in Fenton as a fundraiser. They would like us to help with traffic control, handing out water to runners and walkers, and other necessary support for the race. Most likely, we will be “sent out in twos” to specific corners to control the car traffic so that the runners and walkers can pass safely. If you would like to help, please sign up on the sheet in fellowship hall or call Bill Black at (810) 750-4189.

FFPC 2011 Housewarming Gift Registry
Please visit our website ffpc.org and click on the new link under “Items of Interest” called “FFPC Gift Registry” for a complete list of our registry and any updates to the registry. Also, please see the detailed booklets and special envelopes on the coffee hour tables on Sunday. Our bulletin board in fellowship hall will have the updated events and status of our “Housewarming” campaign. During the work week, Monday thru Friday, the only entrance available to congregation members is the front sanctuary doors. NO EXCEPTIONS. This is for your safety. The back door is a construction entrance only during the week. Please do not use your back door key on weekdays, call the office to make arrangements to pick up a front door key.
